Delete your account

This deletes your 5erday account and everything in it, permanently. There is no undo and no grace period.

Cancel your subscription first

Deleting your account does not cancel 5erday+. Apple and Google own that billing relationship and no app can cancel it on your behalf. If you subscribe, cancel it first:

iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → 5erday → Cancel.
Android: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → 5erday → Cancel.

In the app, the quickest way

Open 5erday and go to the Profile tab.
Tap Signed in under Account.
Tap Delete account, and confirm.

It happens immediately. If you signed in with Apple, we also tell Apple to revoke 5erday's sign-in permission, so the app disappears from Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple.

If you have already uninstalled the app

Email hello@5erday.com from the address on your account, with the subject Delete my account.

If you signed in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, send it from the private relay address Apple gave you. It forwards, and it is the address we hold. If you signed in with Google, use that Google address.

We will confirm within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days. We may ask one question to confirm it is your account; we will not ask for a password, and nobody from 5erday will ever ask you for one.

Reinstalling the app and signing in is faster than emailing, if you can. The button above does the whole thing in a few seconds.

What gets deleted

Your account and every way of signing in to it.
Your food diary: every portion you have ever logged.
Your streak, XP, level, achievements and titles.
Your preferences, favourites and reminder settings.
Your scan history and your remaining allowance.
Everything held on the phone you delete from.

What is kept, and why

Anonymous cost records. We keep aggregate figures about what photo analysis costs, token counts and timings, with your account identifier removed. They cannot be traced back to you, and they are what tells us whether the feature is affordable.
Billing records, without your identifier. Records of purchases and refunds are kept for accounting and tax, as the law requires. They no longer point at you.

Your photographs are not on that list, because there is nothing to delete. A photo you scanned was analysed and discarded within that request and was never stored. See the Privacy Policy.

If you only want to start again

Profile → Reset progress clears your logs, XP and achievements and keeps your account, your subscription and your scanning allowance. It is a different button in a different place from the one above, on purpose.
